TAILORMADE DESIGN & SOURCING
We support and make the decoration process less stressful in different ways, big or small:
- act as a sounding board for design decisions
- source and purchase what you are looking for, providing discounted decoration materials
- organise a refurbishment or find a contractor
- plan and prepare simple layout plans for lighting, electrical & space planning

WHAT ARE THE WORKSHOPS?
Going on site and being part of renovating a home is a short, sharp reminder of how much energy and time the bigger projects entail.
Sometimes we can't control the timing (an electrical fault at my home meant we had to fit in with builders availability so preparation was all pretty rushed and I'm relieved how well it has gone)!
Being able to think on our feet is great but planning well in advance is even better...
Heliotrope is opening its doors to clients who can benefit from a calm and creative space from which to use our resources, design, discuss and plan their project.
Planning is key to success!
YOUR UNIQUE STYLE - DESIGN INSPIRATION
It's all about inspiration! Travel anywhere is a big one for most people. And our memories of growing up, wherever that was compared to where we live now.
Nature is another wonderful source of inspiration and an almost inexhaustible source of colour combinations, textures and patterns.
Everybody has a story so I encourage clients to draw on experiences, memorable moments and treasured items when designing.
Design is subjective so by combining personality, lifestyle and past experiences with key interior design tools, methods and trends, Heliotrope develops and delivers a home unique to you.
HOW & WHY HELIOTROPE BEGAN
Heliotrope is a one stop shop that helps clients with anything colour, light and space related - from curtains to lighting plans to bathroom redesign and furniture sourcing. In 15 years Heliotrope has worked on a wide range of properties varying from studios to Listed manor houses and new build Georgian style farmhouses to bungalow redevelopments.
I started working in property, helping out in school holidays in show homes for a local estate agent in North Dorset then continued as an assistant in a French property company and later was involved in property sales again as an estate agent/negotiator in Amersham, Bucks.
Renovating came about after a career spanning marketing, events and working as a PA inbetween. With a strong eye for colour, a love of good finds and the geekier aspects of space and lighting planning, I was asked to help friends with their houses. I set up Heliotrope to help anyone else who needs another pair of hands on a project.
